We got snow...and a lot of it! The weather reports were predicting snow but the truth is, weathermen in Portland have a reputation of being wrong. I wasn't going to believe it until I saw it. Well, I saw it! We ended up with about 8 inches total. The whole city shut down. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Andrew and I were still able to make it to work. Andrew's store got super busy so he was working long hours. We had staffing issues at the hospital because people were unable to make it in and/or were not comfortable driving. The hospital opened up empty patient rooms for staff members to stay over in if they did not want to go home. I drove back and forth the whole weekend and was fine. On Saturday, the snow was beautiful. It would have been a perfect day to have some snow fun with Andrew, but the bills still have to be paid, tires have to be fixed, and babies have to be kept alive and snuggled. This much snow is a real rarity in our neck of the woods but when it happens our world becomes a beautiful winter wonderland.
